Another update: I have just installed vanilla OpenSolaris 98 and tried it out. I added a printer queue to my local print server using the following option:
in the Add dialog: Type: Remote LPD (BSD,RFC1179) (This is equivalent to Add Access on the Java basedPrint Manager) Print Server: servername.ireland Queue Name: pdub0407dbl (which is actually a queue on the print server) Local Queue Name: pdub0407dbl Then click on Add, the network queue was created and then I open up Firefox. Printed a few different web pages, no crash at all. So your input is very important to verify whether there is a genuine bug or just an ease of use. I agree that having a LPD option at the top end of Type could be confusing. -Ghee Ghee Teo wrote: > Hi George, > > It will help me tremendously if you can provide more information that > snv98 :) > If you have forgotten what option you used to set your printer.
