well, my system seems a little unstable at the moment (has been ok in the past). It consists of vmware server 2 beta 2 under centos 5.1 64 bit host.
During image-update several times it's died on me and restarted :s - bit of a worry, just trying again now... what I'm trying is roughly this: #beadm list > my active BE is opensolaris-3, booted #export PKG_CLIENT_TIMEOUT=2000 #pfexec pkg refresh #pfexec beadm create opensolaris-4 #pfexec mount -F zfs /rpool/ROOT/opensolaris-4 /mnt #pfexec pkg -R /mnt image-update #pfexec beadm unmount opensolaris-4 #pfexec beadm activate opensolaris-4 reboot into BE opensolaris-4 build 93 (hopefully!) The mount statement is the main difference - this is roughly what I had to do when previously upgrading from 2008.05 (b86) to b91 a while back. If I can get it to go beyond the image-update statement, perhaps I'll have a working b93 (my fingers are crossed). I'll post back once I know I have success or failure! -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ indiana-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/indiana-discuss
