Sorry to reply to my own post, but I forgot to mention something.

I've installed several blastwave IPS packages since I found the "trick" to
getting it to work thanks to this list. pkg info appears to search all
authorities, and will display the full FMRI including authority name
needed for install. On my "box", still running under VMware on a Debian
box at the moment, for the above package I get:

$ pkg info -r IPSgnupg

           Name: IPSgnupg
        Summary: gnupg - RFC 2440 compliant tool for secure communication and
data storage. (gpg binary)
          State: Not installed
      Authority: blastwave.org
        Version: 0.5.11
  Build Release: 5.10
         Branch: 2.6
Packaging Date: Wed May 14 15:18:32 2008
           Size: 4.7 MB
           FMRI: pkg://blastwave.org/[EMAIL PROTECTED],5.10-2.6:20080514T151832Z

I used blastwave.org for the blastwave authority's name. I suspect it
will display needed authority name whatever it may be.
