Do you really find Java/JSP to be tough/complicated for web apps? I found
that except for the smallest web apps, using Java/JSP with a good IDE like
Jbuilder gives you a very big productivity boost when compared to perl/php3.
Check out custom taglibs under jsp and struts, and you will find that web
apps suddernly becomes much easier!

have you checked out boost (www.boost.org). If you like STL, you will find
boost quite good too!
