Hi Santosh,

Are you using GRUB?  The problem is not related to the amount of RAM
(probably not even to the size of the kernel - I might be wrong there).  I
faced the same problem some time back with a dual booting system having
Win2k and RHL8.0.  I could not locate any solution to it anywhere.  

Alternate: Use NTLDR to boot Linux.  I don't know whether WinXP uses the
NTLDR and boot.ini or some other mechanism but if it does then you are in
luck.  Doofus and Abu have written a very helpful guide on the topic.
