Hi Folks!

I want to know wether sendmail can/should be used from a PC or not ?

I was able to send mails over to internet using sendmail from my PC after
clobbering a couple of lines in the sendmail.cf. It works just fine ... but
seems a little slow.

I want to know wether I can use sendmail from my PC to transfer mails over
to an SMTP server (having a registered address) such as VSNL since I have a
valid mail account on that server ... and let that server do the remaining
of sending job. ( Like one usually does using programs like Outlook, Ximian,
KMail, Mutt etc. )

Has anybody configured sendmail on his PC in order to relay outbound/internet
bound mails through an SMTP server ?

I tried SMART_HOST and nullclient ... but doesn't work.

Regards,
Gagan.
