Hi Kapil, The problem is that you are trying to use latest version of operating system. Even an old version of Linux will do the same task with good effect.
Try using Redhat Linux 6.2 on the system, it should work on 16 MB RAM. Else increase RAM on computer to 32 MB RAM while installing Linux 7.x. Once installation is over take out 16MB RAM __________________________________________________ From: "Kapil Sethi" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> | This is Spam | Add to Address Book To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Date: Thu, 13 Feb 2003 18:41:50 +0530 Subject: [ilugd]: RH Linux 7.3 wont run in 16 MB RAM Hi, I have been working with linux for more that 3 years!... My servers run on Linux!... I managed to convince my friend into buying a Pentium - I system with 16 MB RAM 1.2 GB Hardisk that was to run Linux and do the proxying/natting for his internet connection. Now when the system is in my hand for configuring RH 7.3 says 16 MB is too less for it to run/install. I had run my first linux installation on 486 with 512 MB HDD & 16 MB RAM, why should it not run now, when all I require is its work as a router What to do to save my face!......... somebody help Thanks Kapil __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
