Depends on what features your hosting provider gives you.

If mailgroups is the same as mailing list then, yes, you have enough.
If not, then you can contact me, Sarai or Sourceforge.net to setup a
list for you on our servers.  The list will have an e-mail address
different from your domain then, however.

At the very least, the objectives of your group, mailing list
subscribe, unsubscribe and posting instructions, contacts for key
people in the group, resources (if any), meeting details.
