We had Solaris machines in our network and just experimenting with
installation of linux in our environment.
We just install Red Hat 7.3 and use it to access our Solaris NFS server
By doing this activity ..whole network chokes..we shut down the system
and change the rsize & wsize at linux client end to 8k..now things are
working fine.
Can anyone depicts where is the problem..which is solaris/linux sensitive
to packet size and what acutally happens at network end if we had
rsize,wsize diff. from 8k. Any technical web references...
Why it fits for 8k ..not for 4k ..
