Silver go to devlopment.gnome.org there is this book there I can't remember it name. i think it is called gnome/gtk programming. If you want i can search for it for you. If you want to program in gtk 1.2 then you don't need anythiong to start programming. but if you want to code in gtk2 then you will need to download the whole thing. from gtk.org and yes if you want basic help ask me.
