Please check www.redhat.com/support/resources/tips/i810.html. You may also see i810-HOWTO which are available at many sites ( you just have to fire your search engine ). But I think you will require a kernel-upgrade as also upgrades of XFree86 drivers. In case system upgrade does not mean a major trouble for you I'll advise you go for upgrading to any of the latest releases having 2.4.x kernel XFree86 4.x.
