Apache has been in version 2.0 for a while now. I have been following apache week for a while now. It seems there are still some niggling problems. But this time, a lot more people seem to be testing it on thier non-critical machines.
Has anybody one this list been beta testing Apache 2.0? What can he tell us about real life changes? Has configuration been simplified? How is it going to seem different from the 1.3 series? We have somebody on this list who is actively involved in the Apache httpd project development itself. Can he also tell us about how exactly does the developers feel about the stability and features about the new release? - Sandip On Mon, Apr 08, 2002 at 08:59:32AM +0530, Vipul Mathur spoke out thus: > Apache 2.0.35 has been released in the open. > > http://httpd.apache.org/ > > Here is a list of new features over the standard 1.3.x series. > > http://httpd.apache.org/docs-2.0/new_features_2_0.html > > The beast can be downloaded in source (tar.gz) from: > > http://www.apache.org/dist/httpd/ > > Binaries have not appeared as yet. > > Looks like fun times ahead... :-) -- Sandip Bhattacharya Mindframe Software Work: sandip @ mindsw.com, http://www.mindsw.com Play: sandipb @ bigfoot.com, http://www.sandipb.net ----------------------------------------------- ================================================ To subscribe, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with subscribe in subject header To unsubscribe, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with unsubscribe in subject header Archives are available at http://www.mail-archive.com/ilugd%40wpaa.org =================================================
