Please give solutions to my problems:
PROBLEM 1:
Where should I keep my data in a linux system to protect it from system crash?
As in windows, if o.s. is in c drive and my data is in e drive then if windows crashes then I can retrieve back my data from e drive safely.
In my machine , I have following partitions:
- /
- swap
- /usr
- /home
I figured, it is /usr/local…am I right? I am using Mandrake 7.2 at my home and my system is dual booted with windows 2000 server.
PROBLEM 2:
Sometimes I got "kernel panic" and system does not boot as it can’t mount root file system?
What should I do in such a situation?
PROBLEM 3:
What are hot technologies in linux today? What should we do toady to get maximum benefit in future?
