Hi,
I am facing a serious mail problem, I hope I can find some Sendmail expert
on this list. Can Mr. Raju help.
The situation is:
A person from somewhere in US configures his mailclient with name as
[EMAIL PROTECTED] and with the same return address. This mail
address i.e. [EMAIL PROTECTED] does not exist. He then sends
hundreds of mails mail to nonexistent Yahoo mailboxes. Almost all of these
mails bounce and are forwarded to Bharatconnect mailserver. which again
rejects the mails as [EMAIL PROTECTED] does not exist. But as the
double bounce messages are forwarded to Postmaster my precious bandwidth has
been wasted.
Is there any way to stop this type of attack. Today I have received over
3000 bounced mails from yahoo for 10 different nonexistent bharatconnect
mail addresses.
Urgent help is required.
