I think they will be able to ask questions here and get answers from some pretty decent / knowledgeable folk who give their time completely for free. I think you will find they're are actually lot's of people using it. It might even be on your phone right now. I do agree though that adoption could be greater and Linux (rather than android) has not yet hit the consumer mainstream.
