I have never been able to attend these meetings earlier due to my work - we
worked saturdays and now can't attend because of a young family and
associated saturday responsibilities :)
But, I want to see / be part of these meetings.
Let me take a proactive step - this is what I can do/provide:
- I have a VPS for experiments and pet projects. This can be used for
the live broadcast. It's comes with 3TB bandwidth so it is not a problem
for me. It's got 4 public IP addresses and hence can even associate a
unique URL.
- I have installed and demoed Big Blue Button before and can do the same
in this VPS. But I do not have prof experience. Anybody willing to learn
can join me anytime
- The server has got only 2GB ram. I do not know how this affects BBB in
production. But I have demoed it with 2GB
- I have a 720p high quality webcam which I can provide whenever
required.
- Uplink from site has to be taken care of by meeting volunteers. There
are 2 workable options to my knowledge -
- Most reliable - Windows/Mac Laptop + Adobe FMLE Flash Media Live
Encoder
- Hack/Rig - Linux laptop + FFMPEG
