Hi !
I did try installing ibus and the booster packages for tamil. But, I couldn't 
find the Tamil keyboard layout even then. All I did notice as the keyboard 
layouts were
1. Tamil2. Tamil keyboard with numerals3. Tamil (Srilanka, TAB typewriter)4. 
Tamil (Srilanka, UNICODE)5. Tamil (Tab typewriter)6. Tamil (TSCII typewriter)7. 
Tamil (UNICODE)
But, none of them seem to support phonetic typing. 
Am I missing out somewhere ?
