I don't see how it limits platform. They are servers after all and are
supposed to run in data centers. I see so many distros (if not done
already) coming up with ARM builds. Ubuntu is one. With this level of
cost savings, and savings in other aspects, all cloud players are
going to be interested. BTW what do you mean by general purpose
computing?
