Hi Ken Nope, haven't read any of those. For now i am bit too busy. Surely i might have a look into those if at all i get a chance for a prolonged retired life in Ooty like yours. ;-)
Don't get me wrong. I don't subscribe for any of those 'isms' - capitalism or communism. In this particular context I think we might try to get the CPI to lobby for our cause. Just because them are a so called 'National party' and that they seem to have 'positioned' themselves to oppose whatever comes from US, be it capitalism or M$, we might have a chance to raise some noise through them. Like you said, their actual intentions could be anything but helping our cause. Surely we can't go after 'captian Vijaykant' or Vaiko for that matter who might as well ask what this thingy called 'FOSS' is. These CPI are our only option for a political attack. And they have made some substantial dent on behalf of Linux for schools in Kerala. regards Nataraj On Thu, Oct 13, 2011 at 5:29 AM, kenneth gonsalves <[email protected]> wrote: > On Thu, 2011-10-13 at 05:17 +0000, Nataraj S Narayan wrote: >> But fundamentally communism is about collective ownership and freeing >> resources from private ownership, say, the idea that all the Land >> should be owned by the state, very much akin to what FOSS is doing in >> technology. > > please do not talk rubbish.
