That is initial euphoria of college students. :-) Wait for two more months and it will be repeated again! The LUG has seen consistent 20-30 member participation in all subsequent meets, including last meet. IMO this is enough numbers given the numbers in other lugs. And talks are also good and varied in nature. I have never seen such variety in ILUGC meet previous years. If you are not satisfied with the quality of talks, can you let the list know what talks you found bad? As for workshops, this year there were more workshops guided by our co-ordinator than last year. In my alma matter, I heard through juniors that there were three workshops conducted on behalf of ILUGC including a Faculty Development Programme for 3/4 days. And also I know that ILUGC has conducted regular workshops, through the updates he gives during the monthly meets. Since you brought up the subject of organising meets, workshop etc, can you please let the list know when was the last time you attended the meet? And tried to broach this subject, so that co-ordinator would have corrected his 'mistakes' or at least we the meet participants would have offered help to conduct activities properly and pushed him to do so? -- அகிலன் (Akilan R) [ blog.akilan.in ] I should have no use for a paradise in which I should be deprived of the right to prefer hell. --Jean Rostand _______________________________________________ ILUGC Mailing List: http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc
