Google and Facebook should be more or less considered as users of FOSS , they hardly contribute back to FOSS , only good thing being the summer of code and other code releases from google which more or less are heavily aimed at revenue generation . IBM on the other hand should be appreciated for its kernel contributions , apache,eclipse and lot other contributions despite AIX,Websphere, Websphere studio and its other propreitary products .
