I thought one had to align using the alignment option - this is not available in linux - only in mac and windows. Actually I did not know about alignment. (it prints an alignment paper which has to be scanned in). I used thin paper for this and the paper got wrinkled which is why I think it is not aligned properly. I tried to remove the cartridges and reinsert them, but the alignment function did not work. I suppose I will have to live with it until I buy a new cartridge or go to a windows machine to do this? > The only downside is that printing in Linux consumes more ink.
