hi,
let me explain in a very simple way

Free Software is Open Source Software.

Open Source software may not necessarily be Free Software.

Open Source allows the coder more control over his program compared to Free Software.

Open Source software can work with other proprietary software, while Free Software does not allow the same.

Are you telling that charge for source code?

Anyhow i asked what's the difference between opensource and free software
if free software means "freedom to use, modify, redistribute" then what
opensource refers?

Which type is to be payed for usage, for eg: we have to buy redhat to
use it,whether it is named as open source or free sofware or what?

Balaji
