But linux detecting the ethernet device properly and loaded 'forcedeath' driver. I checked the new BSNL ADSL modem in with my friend's laptop, it worked without any problem. is my ethernet card gone? will linux(or any OS) detect a faulty device? do I need to replace it? if that is the case, how to replace it? what all problem will occur if I want to replace my ethernet card?
