yes,this is selvam,studied in Jaya Engineering college,I have started to add
Tamil spell checking capability to Gedit editor as a plugin and you could
find details here,

I started it as my final year project with the guidance of Amachu and
Sivaji(Gsoc) , my juniors have started to extend its features(eg. need to
refine the words ) and add similar feature to Open Office.They are doing it
as their final year project.
