It is much more constructive than simply complaining about creativity. People can contribute to the "Idea bank" in lugc . Students can pick up topics , refine and do projects. I do not agree to the idea that final year project should be very innovative and very creative. It is not a competition . it is about learning. So long as students research ,spend time on it and learn something then it has served the purpose. It is unfair to trash ideas , however trivial it may sound to be. The purpose of final year project should not be forgotten. You are focused on leading edge IT technology where innovation may be possible by ordinary people. But what about other subjects like mechanical or electrical engineering ? Do we expect students to come up with some original "Nobel class" subjects ? They can only do some research on existing topics .
