Indeed it is.
It is much more constructive than simply complaining about creativity.
People can contribute to the "Idea bank" in lugc . Students can pick up
topics , refine and do projects.

I do not agree to the idea that final year project should be very innovative
and very creative. It is not a competition . it is about learning. So long
as students research ,spend time on it and learn something then it has
served the purpose.

It is unfair to trash ideas , however trivial it may sound to be. The
purpose of final year project should not be forgotten. You are focused on
leading edge IT technology where innovation may be possible by ordinary
people. But what about other subjects like mechanical or electrical
engineering ? Do we expect students to come up with some original "Nobel
class" subjects ? They can only do some research on existing topics .
