I was not joking - the moment one creates a plone instance, it gives a full-fledged CMS without any need for further customisation - the two minutes I mentioned was the time taken for the site to load. For non-programmers who want out-of-the-box functionality and who want to sleep at nights, plone is the ideal solution. I moved away from plone for two reasons 1. in those days plone hosting was expensive 2. I was doing highly customised sites and plone was too difficult for me to customise - specifically integration with an external database. That said, I hear now that zope3 has excellent integration with SQLalchemy - so this problem does not exist. I did not reply to your original post because I do not think this list is a place for preaching and lecturing people on how and what to post. Talking about breach of rules is one thing, this kind of sermonising is another. btw, there *is* a world beyond php ... -- regards KG http://lawgon.livejournal.com _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, email [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe <password> <address>" in the subject or body of the message. http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc
