The operational issues I've encountered with actually trying to use RRTYPE99 in the wild weren't caused by a lack of support in current-era shipping DNS servers. Sometimes it's not even anything directly related to the DNS. I recall cases where it appeared that firewalls were the root of the problem (I don't recall details, sorry). Solving the DNS servers must support unknown RRTYPE/SPF type problem only gets you started. Scott K
