Purpose: DNS-related activities in the IETF are wide, affecting many other protocols within the IETF's standardization efforts. Because of this, the DNS and its adjacent work is carried out in a wide number of WGs and even areas (INT, OPS, ART). Currently, DNSOP is acting as the central hub for much of the core DNS work and has been for the past decade or more.
