FINAL RESULTS
REGATTA HIGHLIGHTS:
Day one started off with four races under 3-4 knots of wind dying to
1-2 knots from the North / Northwest. Racing was postponed at 1230
until 1430 due to a lack of wind after which four more races were
sailed before docking at 1600 hours. Day two held 12 races under a
5-10 knot breeze out of the East and completed the full rotation of
boats. Docking time was 1530. One race was held on a modified triangle
'T' course, but the wind could not sustain it. All other races were
held on a modified windward/leeward 'WL' course with an open gate.
Congratulation to South Alabama, and thanks to Peter Hopkins our PRO,
the rest of the excellent race commitee, Nicholas Underwood at UNO,
and Southern Yacht Club and Allstate for their support. Thanks to all
the teams for attending, and for their patience during the delay on
Sunday.
