The Marchiando family was on hand for the 25th anniversary regatta named for their late daughter, Lynne. A beautiful 10-14 kts of east wind made for fantastic intercollegiate team racing on the Charles River with MIT's color coordinated FJs. One complete round robin was completed among the 10 teams using a variety of courses- the collegiate 'N', the modified port rectangle, and our favorite- the digital 'U' with a downwind start and an I flag. Wins today were worth 1 point each. The top four teams get to report later for the championship round where wins will be worth 2 points. The bottom six teams will report at 9:30 for a repechage round robin. The top 2 teams from the morning will get to race in the championship bringing forward their points from Saturday only.

Huge numbers of people volunteered to make this a full-on umpired team race event with isaf style red and yellow flags on each boat's side stays. RC personnel included Wiley Wakeman, Alvar Saenz-Otero, Ellen Pratt, Sue Ostrowski, Eric Gibber. Umpiring throughout the day were Brad Churchill, John Pratt, Ben Stiller, Bobby Martin, Craig Nale, Bill Upthegrove, Drew Robb, Kyle Assad and Amy and Hannah from BU. John Field was on hand to judge any rules matters which came off the water.

URI, Harvard, BC, MIT each had 6-3 records. Tied and move on directly to championship round. St Marys who lost the tie breaker per icsa regs also had a 6-3 record but will return for the morning repechage along with
Connecticut at 4-5
Tufts at 3-6
Georgetown at 3-6
Bowdoin at 3-6
NY Maritime at 2-7
