I would set them up as Master + Satellite, using Bottom-Up configuration (see http://docs.icinga.org/icinga2/latest/doc/module/icinga2/chapter/distributed- monitoring section 6.9.4). That means you can configure all the hosts and checks you need on A (the 'satellite' using Icinga's terminology) and see the results there, and also see these results on B (which can have its own configuration and checks, separately from A). Does that help? You will need TCP port 5665 open on your firewall, but you can choose either direction for the connection to be initiated, if that helps.
