Hi all, thanks for the suggestions, but I was thinking along the lines of some more complete solution.
I'm aware of the Netways alerting solution page <https://www.netways.de/hardware/alarmierung/>, which was one of my first starting points for the investigation. But all the solutions that are listed on https://www.netways.de/hardware/alarmierung/ are purely SMS based, none of them can do voice. They also offer a voice solution, but it seems that one isn't capable of clustering/HA. The braintower solution appeals from the standpoint of high availability etc., and in combination with the proper voice alerting solution it would probably do the trick, but obviously that stuff needs to be integrated, for instance for alerting plans like: - Send an SMS for an alert and wait for acknowledgement via SMS reply - If the alert isn't acknowledged within 5 minutes, perform a voice call and wait for acknowledgement (within the voice call or via SMS reply) - If neither alert is acknowledged within xx minutes, escalate to the supervisor via voice call - etc. iLert and OPSgenie can do something like this, and I've been using iLert for years now with great satisfaction - but the problem is that cloud-based services are frowned upon at this particular customer, so I need to come up with something local. Currently they are using a solution called "PageControl" by pointomega <http://pointomega.de>, but they stopped offering a HA setup option and the customer requires reliable alerting.
