policy that came up from git. My mistake, should I remove the policy and
set them back to default file context? Any advice?

What's the exact log line from audit.log when such notification script
cannot be executed?
That's the problem. There's nothing there when the script(s) can't be
executed. I can't track down the error :(
Hm. Try to copy those scripts into a different location, and execute
them from over there, e.g. PluginDir.
Other than that, please show 'ls -lah /etc/icinga2/scripts' just to be sure.
