I assume that the icinga-web package and its default configuration has been designed for icinga 1.x core.
In order to make it work with icinga2 core, you might need to adapt the path to the command socket in your local configuration. I do not consider this a bug and the problem will fix itself as soon an an icinga-web2 package will be released, since this GUI will be designed for icinga2 locations by default.
