Is there a mailing list I can subscribe to get announcements about
Icinga2? A commit digest perhaps?

There is icinga-announce providing release announcements, additionally
blog.icinga.org helps to keep track.

If you're looking for a git commit list, try icinga-checkins.

Other than that, git.icinga.org and github.com/icinga allow you to
fetch the latest and greatest yourself.

On irc.freenode.net #icinga-devel icinga-gitbot will also dump any
occuring commits.

Perfect. Thanks. I was a bit startled by the recent config file changes
on the Debian packages. I wanted to keep abreast of what is happening more.

I'll hack up a blog post once everything is sorted. Still, there are some changes ongoing and before having those implemented, it doesn't make much sense.

But make sure to follow the flow, doesn't hurt. We did sit in long meetings and config hack sessions in order to make it right, and taking our time to make Icinga 2 the best tool one could expect after 1.x - even with revamping the configuration format once more.

Besides - 0.0.x isn't alpha or beta. It allows us to simply change stuff we cannot change once it's tagged beta or rc.

Yes, I absolutely agree - no complaints on my part. I just though it was unreasonable of me not to follow along more closely.

Cheers,

Simon
