Imho the Vagrant Box is as easy as it should be - *if* you follow
all the instructions given on screen. But you're right, if you
don't, there should be some "exit mode" :p
The only problem with that is I wasn't using the VM version. I
installed straight from the repos and used the online documentation.
For the record, I never could get the VM working with vagrant. There
wasn't a vagrant file in the tarball. But that's a another story
altogether.
