I prefer to use meaningful job names. What TSO SUBMIT does sort of made sense before RACF, but I regard it as a vestige of the dead past.

Often I can't be bothered putting a job card on a quick job, TSO SUBMIT uses your user ID and asks for a character to add to the job. Since a jobname is limited to 8 chars, makes life simple.
