The DataCenter where I use to work at had a Halon dump, on the system that
supported the Silo's.. (Five of them),

During the annual service check by the Halon Fire Vendor something happened
during the test and it set off the Halon . All sort of alarms went off, the
Building was evacuated, (The rest of the data center stayed up and powered).
The Silo's went into EPO mode. The Building Engineers started major outside air
exchanges into the datacenter space after the Fire Department cleared the
space. After about two hour the Fire gave the OK to return back into the
datacenter space (The office space was given the all clear about 10 minutes
after the fire dept arrived). The CE's were called into check and reset the
hardware, The tapes that got blown out of there cells inside were picked up
off the floor. (Later they were replaced with new tapes). A full Audit of the
Silo's were done.

Tape operation continued from the silo's at the "Mirror" site. Silo's could
not be powered back into use until the empty Halon Tanks were refill'ed.

Whole Adventure took about 18 hours from "Event" to everything was back in sync
again.
