I remember the external timers well, and the limitations, this is the first place I've been at for a long time that requires an IPL or for US to perform the IPL. I'm trying to get them into 21st century, scratching and crawling.
the option I found interesting on the HMC was the Daylight saving time offset (hours : minutes): 1 : 00 Automatically adjust <++++++ which states Supports automatic adjustment of daylight saving time I've not tries it and I am now researching... The 9037's biggest limitation was that it had to be (re)programmed for each time change, so you could not reach out further than six months. STP has no such limitation.
