Are you sure it was 1047?  In: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EBCDIC_1047
I see them as Ý and ¨ --  LATIN CAPITAL LETTER Y WITH ACUTE and
DIAERESIS.

I hate EBCDIC!
