​I completely agree with you. But many people with a Windows background are
going to be "upset". I don't know how difficult it would be make case
insensitivity selectable ​by filesystem. I think it would be of some use.
But it is "cost vs. benefit" again. And I am not competent to determine
that.

​Another thing that Windows corrupted people dislike. But they are a vast
majority, so it make make "marketing" wisdom to bow to them.​
