However, if you have z/OS 2.2 with XL C/C++ then you can compile the source code for your particular machine model, as long as your target machine can run what the z/OS 2.2 XL C/C++ Compiler can produce. Build instructions are available in the README.md file, included with the source code available from Github:
https://github.com/ibmruntimes/node/tree/v0.12-zos-ascii That's the current source code link at this instant. That link is likely to change as this subproject evolves. You will also need Python if you don't have it already, available from Rocket Software here: http://www.rocketsoftware.com/ported-tools The Node.js README refers to GNU Make 4.1 as a prerequisite, but I'm not sure that's true since the build instructions use make (not gmake). So I'm a bit confused there. If you could report back what you discover, that'd be great. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Timothy Sipples IT Architect Executive, Industry Solutions, IBM z Systems, AP/GCG/MEA E-Mail: [email protected] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN
