Thanks. I had just spotted Charles's post back in 2012 with the same problem 
and used a pragma. Now the init function fails with 202 (KEYRING OPEN ERROR) 
but that looks like an admin problem. :)

You need to specify a POSIX(ON) LE runtime option. You can do this in the JCL 
or explicity specify it in your main with #pragma runopts(posix,on)
