Agreed. As long you can convince the auditors you can reproduce the
reports 100% faithfully from original data source.

40+ years ago I worked for a publishing house. They brought some
auditors in and they couldn't unload one of their libraries and I got
involved as a sysprog to figure out why they couldn't get the unload
to work. They had brought their own sys1.coblib and demanded that it
be named sys1.coblib. I explained patiently that there could only be
one SYS1.COBLIB cataloged. They were insistent. So After listening
to them I suggested this if we rename their library and put it in
their steplib concatenation they would get their version of the
SYS1.COBLIB that slowed them down enough for them call home.
Apparently we were the first to deny their request and they wanted to
run all sort of jobs to prove that this "NEW" way was going to give
them the numbers that they were looking for. I stood back and let
them do their thing. About two weeks later they left happy at their
results.
