I double Glenn here!
We currently use the exact SAP/DB2 & DS8K Flashcopy solution he has pointed
out and it really works like a charm.
We can IPL our DR anytime we want (I often do it to test a z/OS upgrade,
for example), with like 2-3h of preparation time*.

* I understand 2-3h of prep. time is not doable in some cases, but it is
doable for my client.
