2. Replace HOLDDATA with older one or just reject newest HOLDDATA. Is it
possible? How?
HOLDDATA are cumulative; RECEIVEing an older one has no effect;
there's no REJECT for HOLDDATA.

I'm afraid it is not the case there no ill effect can arise from
processing older HOLDDATA than you have already processed. You should
always get the latest HOLDDATA and process it in sequence. Moreover,
you should always download the latest "Full" file from the website,
which includes FIXCAT data, and process that.
Why so many choices for download? When Enhanced HOLDDATA was
introduced, the ~2250K size of the Full file was a lot of data to
download. Today it's peanuts. Just get the Full file. We should
probably think about taking down the Month/Quarter/Year options at some
point. (Yell if you think you need them! But tell us why.)
