When it contains only one, the fix can SUP(PE-PTF) and should contain all of PE-PTF's PREs and SUPs. This was my point - that I left implied. As another contributor wrote, it is infrequent, but it does happen. If I leave the PE-PTF in my global zone, when the fixing PTF comes along, it will simply satisfy the PE-hold and apply both the PE hold and the fix for the PE. If I have REJECTed the PE, I then have to go find it, probably redownload it, and re-RECEIVE it. I come down firmly in the camp of "let SMP/E do its job". Leave the PE-PTFs there and don't worry about getting a RC=0 in your APPLY steps.
