I hate having these PTFs in my SMPPTS that every time I install an
RSU the APPLY tries to install this PTF again, and I spend more
time researching why the PTF didn't APPLY.
Then stop researching them. The ones to worry about are the ACTION and
DOC holds.
I completely agree. If a PTF cannot be applied because it is PE, then
that is an example of the ++HOLD ERROR doing its job. Generally
speaking I wouldn't spend any time researching such a PTF.
Am I being short sighted?
Yes. If you REJECT a PTF then you have to receive it at a later
date, and that may be awkward. Let SMP deal with the hold data in a
normal fashion.
Again, I completely agree.
