We don't do this, but I'm reading a RedBook about the z/OS 1.13 "z/OS Batch Environment" in SG24-8116. This is about running a "hybrid" COBOL + Java step under JZOS with some sort of driver which sets up RRS.
Anyway, this got me to thinking a bit. We are utter dependent on AbendAid for diagnosing batch abends (to the extent that if AbendAid can't be used, we in Tech Services end up doing the debugging of the application code). Does anybody out this run "hybrid" programs? If so, does AbendAid support debugging in the "z/OS Batch Environment" run-time. What about if the abend is in the Java code?
